The 14th symposium (2020) on energy conservation & environmental protection and CDQ technology in coking industry was successfully held in Tai’an, Shandong province from Nov. 18th to 20th, 2020. The seminar was hosted by China Metal Association Coking Chemical Professional Committee and Metallurgical Information Network of China, undertaken by ACRE Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation (Dalian), MCC, Xintaizhengda Coking Corporation, Haoyu Group, Huatai CDQ Engineering Consulting Corporation, Anshan, cohosted by Boyu Boiler Co. Ltd., Shandong province. More than 200 experts and scholars from 44 coking companies and 43 suppliers, including CCIA, Ansteel, Shandong Haoyu Group, etc. attended the meeting.

　　Yu Zhendong, chairman of ACRE, delivered a speech on behalf of ACRE, he first reviewed the development of Chinas CDQ industry, back to 1999, ACRE has started the localization of CDQ technology. Based on the experience from 125t/h CDQ demonstration project of Masteel, ACRE conducted a comprehensive and profound cooperation with suppliers including Shandong Lunai Kiln Refractories, Taiyuan Heavy Industry Co. Ltd., Jiangsu Hailu, etc. and universities such as University of Science and Technology Beijing, etc. and achieved the full localization of CDQ technology. During the next 20 years, ACRE independently developed new CDQ technology which has full series, large scale and long life span. At present, China boasts the largest number of CDQ units in the world. ACRE will join hands to promote the communication with coking industry peers to make progress together and give impetus to China’s development in energy conservation & environmental protection and CDQ technology in coking industry.

　　As standard/regulation-maker of state & professional level and a national team of China’s metallurgical & coking industry, ACRE will continue to make new innovations in state of the art technologies including extra-large coke oven technology, simulation and intelligent manufacturing, etc. and put efforts in promoting a sustainable and high quality development of coking industry.
