The commissioning ceremony of #1 and #2 double-shaft lime kilns in the MCKIP 3.5 M t/asteel complex was held at 9:58 a.m. on June 26th, 2018. The project was in EP contract and completed by ACRE for the lime kiln unit.

Lin Chuanyuan, general manager of the ASSB, addressed a speech at the ceremony, expressing his sincere gratitude to all the leaders, guests and erection companies on site. He stated that, the commissioning of lime kilns greatly promoted the complete link-up of the steel complex, and laid a solid foundation for productivity enhancement and energy saving in the whole plant. It also represented the abundant efforts and sweat of all the fellows involved in the project. And everyone was expected to work with more enthusiasm in future.

The lime kiln project is an important part of the MCKIP 3.5 M t/a iron and steel project, which is featured with high-level technology, complex construction and long construction period. ACRE, the EP contractor, represents the apex in the peers. The successful commissioning of lime kilns also marks the start-up of the whole production line of the steel complex.
